Janis Cohen – President & Founder - Executive Committee
Janis has been in the entertainment industry her entire adult life as a professional jazz singer a.k.a. Jan Eisen and former owner of All Star Entertainment, a premier event entertainment firm in the Northeast for more than a decade until she moved to the West Coast. Diagnosed in 2012, her primary focus now is on creating awareness for the lack of funds that are so directly needed for research to find a cure for Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Vicki Cortese - Vice President - Historian - Executive Committee
A resident of California, Vicki has been a long-time activist in the community for many causes, including the Girl Scouts and Musical Theater Guild at the Academy of Performing Arts in Huntington Beach. Vicki has given of herself her entire adult life while maintaining a professional career as Vice President of Sales & Marketing nationally for her family’s candy manufacturing company. Like all of us, she has lost many battling cancer and wishes to continue her involvement toward helping this organization’s efforts to raise funding for research and finding a cure for Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Eugene D. Micco – Treasurer - Executive Committee
Gene has served as President/CEO of Tustin Community Bank since 2002. He has over 38 years of commercial banking experience and enjoys serving the community. He is a board member of the Tustin Community Foundation and Blind Children’s Learning Center. He actively supports American Gold Star Mothers, Loaves and Fishes Soap Kitchen, St. Simon and St. Jude Men’s Club and Team in Training; the fund raising arm of the Leukemia Society.
Chris Donovan - Director of Funding & Development
For over 30 years Chris has been one of LA’s top producers and directors. His work has been nominated for (4) Emmy’s and awarded cable television’s Ace Music Video Award. Chis has been a sought-after director for variety television and notably recognized for his direction of the Emmy nominated Golden Globe Awards and has produced/directed the Independent Film Spirit Awards.
Lisa Kaplan - Director of Funding & Development
Lisa has worked with ICAN a non-profit leadership training and development organization, since 2005. Her role has been with conference development, which includes conducting research, liaising with speakers, and conference design and production in support of ICAN’s annual Women’s Leadership Conference, the largest of its kind in the Midwest.
Jane Luba - Corresponding Secretary
Jane is a human resources consultant in private practice. For the past 13 years, she has provided corporate strategic planning and tactile human resources expertise to many clients across a wide variety of industries in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. Prior to consulting, she served as an executive and on the leadership team for Ticketron, Presidential Airways, Molson Breweries, Value Behavioral Health, WorldTravel Partners and Motient. Jane has an MBA from George Mason University.
Kimberly Geigele Oswald - Director of Funding & Development, Executive Committee
Kimberly is a native Californian raised in Orange County by two parents who instilled honesty, integrity, and the fundamentals of community service. She followed in her father’s footsteps into real estate, expanding into the lending industry where she met her husband, Daryl Oswald. Kimberly is currently President of API Lending and resides in Laguna Beach, Ca. Having lost her grandmother and closest aunt, nothing rings truer to her heart, than finding a cure for Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Rachelle Schwartz - Director of Graphic Design & Creative Arts
Born and raised in Connecticut, Rachelle always had her eye on life in Southern California. Today, she is the proud co-owner of Wiley Valentine, a couture graphic design boutique, offering a blend of vintage and modern paper creations from wedding invitations to logos, branding and holiday photo cards in Irvine, California.
Michael Schwartz - Director of Printing Services - Executive Committee
Michael grew up in upstate New York where he received his Bachelor Degree from St Lawrence University. A California resident since 1998, he Lives in Orange County with his wife and daughter. Michael is the Founder of Czar Press, an industry leader in the art of letterpress and other high end printing techniques, located in Irvine, California.
Dr. Julie Dunhill - MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD
Dr. Dunhill completed residency and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Dunhill is board certified by both the American Board of Oncology and the American Board of Hematology, associated with Tower Hematology Oncology and affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Her clinical interests include lymphoma, breast cancer, and gastrointestinal tumors.
Dr. John L. Sherman - MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD
Dr. Sherman has been a practicing physician for over forty years. He is associated with the Corday Medical Group, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease and affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
